Netbook Reflection 2013

Our netbooks haved helped us a lot throughout the year, because all our school work is on the internet and thats very good so people can see what bright kids we are. My netbook has helped me in many ways, because I have learned how to use templates to help my writing and i'm also doing reading activities to help my comprehending and inquiry presentation.

I have learnt online so many things such as learning how to use sites like Maths Whizz, Sunshine online and study ladder they help me a lot in my learning and i believe that all these learning sites make you become someone better in life.

I have also been learning from other people how to do different ways of learning the other ways of people and how they learn.

The internet also helps us learn what we have which is Key Competencies which is thinking well, Relating to others, using signs and symbols, Managing yourself and participate and contributing with other people.

I have helped other people to be humble and stay out of fights and do good in school.

I have enjoyed using my netbook it helps in many ways.

Dance Fever Recount

WOW! That was the best lesson of Dance fever we were finishing off our Hip hop moves. There was a little bit of hard moves but Captain and Christina helped us to get through them, but the most hard move we can not get is the popping its like when you pop your body but do the move with it. Some of us got it but it took very long for us to get it. After learning the rest of the moves we had a break and then Christina was just telling us what is happening at the end of the term and that we are going to perform and vs schools, we were all so excited.

After that we all got taught how to do Cha cha and we had to face to the person who was next to us and that was our partner. We only got taught how to do the stepping and how to stand, next week Captain and Christina said we will learn a bit of moves to go with the Cha cha Dance.

Finally we were finished for the day and we had lots and lots of fun and when we had to say goodbye we didn’t  want to go but we had too. The best exercise for this morning.

Narrative Writing

On one hot summer day Anna and James went to the zoo. First they saw big Elephants and very loud Monkeys, the monkeys were jumping on very hot rocks. The Elephants were jumping for the colourful balloons in the air, as soon as they landed they landed like big huge airplanes landing on the runway.

The Monkeys were crying for lemons then Anna said to James “I never knew monkeys like lemons.” Anna and James were too busy looking at the monkeys they forgot about the Elephants then the Elephants were very sad they ran away when the zookeeper left the gate open, the Elephants ran in this big huge bush.

When Anna and James were finish feeding the monkeys they decided to go take a look at the big, giant, fat, Elephants when they went to look at the Elephants they saw that the gates were open they had a feeling that the Elephants had escape when they saw that the big, fat, giant Elephants were gone they were in shock.

Later on in the day Anna and James were crying that the Elephants were gone because that was their favorite animal then when James looked up he saw the big, fat, giant Elephants he said to Anna “LOOK IT’S THE BIG, FAT, GIANT ELEPHANTS” Anna though that James was lying, then the Elephants big feet was stomping on the ground and making big noises.

Anna was so HAPPY that the Elephants were back where they belong and she said to the Elephants “I will never leave you big, fat, giants ever again. Then when they were driving back home there was a big storm it went on until they got home then it stopped Anna said “that was weird”, then they went inside their house and they were calm after a big storm. In the end they had a wonderful, fabulous silent cool night.

Yaay! finally it’s the end of the day. On saturday me and my family went to Rainbow end for night rides and saw Chanel, Katalina and their friends . Their standing at the gate. I went over and said Hi and we started talking after a while we went on a ride called the pirate ship. That was very scary because it was going up another end then up another end. We were yelling and screaming loudly.

After that ride we went onto the golden rush the golden rush was very scary because we had to watch out for a log which wound fling across the other end of the cave. The coolest ride  was the roller coaster because the roller coaster was fast and scary that was the scariest ride i have been on. Since i was their. It felt like i was going to die when I went down a deep corner.

Dance Fever - Hip Hop Dance

Today was our first lesson of Hip Hop and we got taught by two instructors from Dance Fever and their names are Captain and Christina. The first thing they explain to us was what kind of dancing we will be doing and what rules there were. As soon as we got those over and done with we started our retain of our hip hop lesson and we had lots of hard moves to do but at the end Christina said “ we can play a game since you guys are awesome at dancing.”

When we were playing the game was so fun. The game was a dance battle. It was girls against boys I was the leader for the girls and Siupeli was the leader for the boys group. The girls and boys had to copy what dance moves the leaders were doing. After that it was time for the leaders to have a competition. Finally it was over. Captain said the winner is the boys. The boys were so excited and happy that they won. We hope the girls wins next time.

How did Chris finally get started into race car driving?

Answer: Chris Pither first was a racing kart driver then when he was twelve he decided that he was gonna do racing car driving and that's how he became a racing car driver.

Why do some people think that New Zealand will soon lead the world in motor sports?

Answer: New Zealand will soon lead the world in motor sports because drivers are starting to drive so young.

3. Infer/ Make a Judgement

What kind of a person is Chris? What details in the story lead you to believe this?

Answer: Chris is a teenager boy who loves racing cars and all sorts of things that has wheels on it. In the story it tells you what he loves about wheels and always asking his dad if he could get him a motorbike for Christmas.  

4. What is a sponsor, and why is it important to have one in motor racing?

Answer: In this case motorcycles need us to sponsor them so they can have more people to join and to go and have races across the world.

5. What precautions are taken to to protect the drivers when they are racing?

In your opinion, do these precautions go far enough to make the sport safe?

Motorcycles need things to protect themselves such as Helmets, Elbow and leg pads and they need to follow the rules that they get told.

6. Use details from the text to tell why the sport is dangerous.

Answer: It is dangerous sport. It is dangerous because there are too much accidents when there is car racing.

7. What is your opinion of motor sport? Could you see yourself being a formula 1 driver? Why or why not would you want to do this sport?

Answer: The reason why i would do this sport is because it looks very fun and interesting. The reason why I don't want to do this sport is that i could be in a lot of accidents.
